The Alhambra is surely one of the most magical places in the whole of Spain. The air seems drenched with the perfumes of jasmine and orange blossom. The trickling of water and the sound of the nightingales puts me in mind of the tales of the Arabian thousand and one nights. The constant croaking of the frogs from pools beneath the trees reminds me of my own pond at home.
